About Actual Botanical
Who we are
At Actual Botanical, we're passionate about sustainable gardening and plant care, and we want to share that passion with others. Our website is a comprehensive resource for all things green. We offer a wealth of information on organic and sustainable gardening, houseplant care, and home and garden inspiration, including informative blog posts and detailed plant care guides. Our goal is to provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to grow healthy, thriving plants and improve your own home or garden.
We're committed to promoting sustainability in all aspects of our business. We source our plants from environmentally responsible growers, we practice organic and sustainable practices in our own garden, as well as our propagation and growing greenhouses, and we use the most eco-friendly shipping and packaging materials whenever possible.
About our garden
We garden in Spokane, Washington, which has a unique Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters. As residents of USDA Growing Zone 6b, we're well-versed in the challenges and rewards of gardening in this region. With an average of 16 inches of precipitation, mostly between November and April, we're always mindful of water conservation and drought-resistant plant choices.
Our average last frost is May 11, and our average first frost is October 10, giving us a typical growing season of 152 days. During the summer months, temperatures can regularly reach into the 100s, and we receive an impressive 16 hours of daylight around the summer solstice, which means our plants get A LOT of sunlight!
This unique climate has allowed us to develop specialized knowledge and skills in gardening and plant care that we love to share with our readers and customers across Eastern Washington, the Inland Northwest, and the whole country. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting out, we're always here to answer your questions, provide support, and share our knowledge and enthusiasm for all things green.
Please feel free to contact us at email@example.com with any comments, suggestions, or requests. We're always happy to connect with fellow plant lovers and help you create your own thriving green oasis!
